Measurement of Face and Body
The optical 3D-Sensors FaceSCAN3D and BodySCAN3D
are used to image body parts in three dimensions. In the surgical,
orthopedic and dermatological fields spatial data about soft tissue
surfaces are of particular importance. The FaceSCAN3D sensor
was specially developed for the measurement of faces, in the field
of maxillofacial surgery for example. It maps the entire face quickly
and precisely from ear to ear. BodySCAN3D delivers 3D images
of body parts such as the breast, back or thigh for 3D visualisation
and for comparison of pre- and postoperative conditions in clinical
trials, as well as for individual consultation.
Both procedures are based on the fringe projection principle.
Further information can be found in the product
sheet.
We also provide 3D measurement services using the BodySCAN3D and FaceSCAN3D
measurement systems.

Device Types
FaceSCAN3D
enables the measurement of the entire face from ear to ear (>180°)
with a single shot through an arrangement of mirrors. |

|
BodySCAN3D is suited to the measurement of both faces and body parts due to the height
and tilt adjustability of the measurement head. In general more shots
can be taken from different angles.
